ALO COFFEE is a coffee trading company founded in 2020, dedicated to sourcing and promoting high-quality micro-lot coffees from Ethiopia’s top growing regions. In just its second year, founder Tamiru earned the prestigious Cup of Excellence (COE) champion title, quickly establishing the brand’s reputation.

Grown at elevations above 2,450 meters, the coffee benefits from a high-altitude environment that fosters concentrated sugars and vibrant flavors. The varieties used include Ethiopia’s indigenous heirloom types and improved selections developed by the Jimma Agricultural Research Center (JARC), such as 74158 and 74165.

The ALO Custom Series is crafted at the company’s own processing station, using advanced methods such as Natural, Anaerobic Fermentation, and Honey Processing. Notably, their anaerobic fermentation lasts up to 96 hours—far longer than the typical 48 hours—enhancing the coffee’s complexity and depth. After fermentation, the beans are carefully dried on raised beds to ensure even drying and optimal flavor development.

The ALO Custom Series represents more than just premium quality—it’s a tribute to Ethiopia’s deep-rooted coffee culture and its historical role as the birthplace of coffee.
